A Boeing 737 Airplane Becoming a Bali Luxury Villa

When boarding this Boeing 737, you’ve already arrived at your destination. This aircraft was once part of the Mandala Airlines fleet, but the Indonesian airline went out of business in 2014, and this aircraft is in need of a job.

However, the aircraft’s high-flying life isn’t over. The decommissioned Boeing 737 was acquired by Felix Demin, a Russian entrepreneur and world traveler. The aircraft is now being converted into a private villa in Bali, Indonesia, where the businessman is based.

The Private Jet Villa is parked on a cliff near Bali’s Nyang Nyang beach. But hod on, it’s still under construction, but its owner has shared renderings of what the ultra-exclusive getaway rental will look like.

The journey starts at a wooden gate, where guests will be led up to the plane via stone steps.

Inside, guests will find a minimalist interior decked in pale wooden fixtures. Although aircraft doesn’t have its original seats flight controls, it retains the portholes that offer a view of the scenic landscape while softly letting in natural light. Guests won’t need to look out of a window to see that there’s something on the wing.. a patio..

The two-bedroom villa includes two bathrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen. Actually, the former cockpit now serves one of the bathrooms. Forget about the claustrophobic unit often associated with airplane restrooms. This one is zen-like, and it comes with a stone bathtub.

The first-class experience extends to the outdoors, where you’ll find another patio that blends into its green surroundings.

Air, land, and water come into harmony with an infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean.

A night here is a flight of fancy most can only dream of, as a red-eye experience will set travelers back 114 million Indonesian Rupiah (US$7,300) a night.

While the overhauled plane will only be ready in July 2023, it’s already listed on Agoda.
