Located on Koh Chang’s southernmost beach, Yuyu Golden Beach is well positioned and suited for holiday makers who want to be unbothered and relax in one of the island’s quietest areas. The restaurant and resort sits at the western edge of Bangbao Beach and is walking distance from a few cafes, restaurants, and bars. However, this is really a place for those who want to check in and enjoy the beach until it’s time to check out.

Yuyu Golden Beach itself offers bungalow accommodations to its guests. It also has a restaurant that serves delicious food with a well stocked bar. The helpful and friendly staff only make your stay more pleasurable. You might hear the occasional truck come around the bend on the main road in the distance, but it’s barely audible. What you will notice are the sounds of birds chirping and the waves lapping against the beach.

Check In & ROoms

When you arrive you’ll find the restaurant almost right away because it’s also where reception is located. After checking in, you’ll be escorted to your bungalow and provided with an overview of the resort.

Yuyu Golden Beach offers a variety of bungalows ranging from VIP Sea View rooms to Budget Rooms.

We stayed in a Standard Room during our visit for 300 baht per night. The bed was comfortable, and storage was adequate. The room didn’t have a TV, but there was need for one. However, we did appreciate the fridge.

The Standard Room bathroom certainly wasn’t luxurious but there wasn’t anything to warrant a complaint. You do get free soaps and shampoo though!

Wifi is available within the room and throughout the entirety of the resort. During our stay we had a reliable and fast connection.

However, be mindful that room rates vary by month so we recommend checking their website for rates during your travel dates.

Food & Drink

If you need a break from the beach, you can go back to your room to relax, enjoy a bite to eat or cold drink from the restaurant. During our stay we enjoyed a barbecue dinner with delicious grilled seafood and beef during our first night. The hamburgers are a must try and the portions of every dish are certainly filling. Even a salad was too much for one person.

Yuyu Golden Beach also boasts homemade yogurt, some great home baked bread, and aromatic coffee.

This is a great place for animal lovers. We made friends with one of the cats and Tik-Tik, a lovely dog whose company was always welcome.
