Thailand Drops Three Annoying Travel Requirements

It’s time to return to Thailand. People are tired of not being able to go anywhere and now want to go somewhere. Which, for Thailand tourists haven’t been flocking back as expected. There have been some, and despite the value for money that Thailand offers, it was just easier to enter some neighboring nations.

But to the surp[rise of many, out of nowhere Thailand has decided to drop its three most bothersome hurdles to entry. From July 1st visiting Thailand should be just as easy and fabulous as it was pre-pandemic.

Thailand to drop Thailand Pass, Masks Outdoors & Health Insurance

Just in time for the run up to peak season Thailand is ending the Thailand Pass for visitors starting trips from July 1st, 2022. The Thailand Pass program has been improved since its launch, but still remains an annoying hurdle to entry. However, from July 1st 2022 visitors will no longer be required to obtain the pass nor provide proof of health coverage for their trip.

Back to the old book a ticket and go!

Although the coverage requirement of $10,000 was relatively low, it was still a hurdle for many that made visiting the Land of Smiles impossible. Plus the requirement to secure a Thailand Pass pushed even repeat Thailand visitors to look elsewhere.

Another annoying requirement that existed for those who overcame the hurdles and visited Thailand has been removed, and that’s the mask requirement. The Outdoor Mask requirements will be dropped from July 1st, 2022. Furthermore, all regions of Thailand will be “green”, which will allow for stress free movement.

Wearing face coverings outdoors was never fun, but in a hot and humid climate it’s even worse. Bear in mind that face covering requirements for indoor spaces may still remain. Be sure to check the latest entry requirements when visiting Thailand.

Good Changes for Thailand
