There’s a place in Bangkok where you can travel the world and find the comfort of air conditioning to escape the Bangkok heat. That place is the Terminal 21 shopping mall.
That’s right, a shopping mall.
You might be surprised by how many visitors to Bangkok come to this mall for fun photos, to grab a bite to eat, and do some shopping.
Since the Bangkok location opened in 2012, locations in Pattaya and Chiang Mai have also been opened. The Bangkok Terminal 21 is in the Asok area and in the same building as Grande Centre Point Sukhumvit.
If you’re not staying at the Grand Centre Point Sukhumvit, you can reach the mall by BTS at Asok station and the MRT at Sukhumvit station.

The next level up, the M floor, is Paris. Walk a mall version of the Champs-Elysees and find many more fashion brands.
Floors 1 to 3 feature smaller shops by local independent labels.

Most of the restaurants and eateries at Terminal 21 are found in San Francisco on the 4th and 5th floors of the mall. There are well over 50 restaurants and cafes to choose from. You’ll find both chain brands and independent outlets.
If you want some cheaper street food, then head up to the Pier 21 food court on the 5th floor. You can find almost anything here. Dim sum, grilled seafood, Hainanese chicken rice, or pad Thai amongst other dishes.
Don’t forget dessert! Have some mango sticky rice or ice cream.
